With bank integration from Conta, you can connect your bank and pay bills directly from the accounting software, without having to log in to your online bank every time.
To find the bank page, to the top menu > My business > Banking. Here you'll find an overview of all your bank transactions in one place. Gather information from multiple banks and keep track of everything directly from Conta.
To activate bank integration, go to the top menu > My business > Banking and click «Activate bank integration». Here you'll find information about the bank integration. Click «Buy» to confirm your purchase of bank integration
You can also activate bank integration by going to the top menu > Settings (gear) > Subscription > My subscriptions. Click «Activate bank integration».
You'll then be taken to a new window where you confirm your identity with BankID and sign an agreement with our banking service partner, ZTL. During this process, you'll be asked to provide some information about your company, as required by the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Once you're done, you'll be taken back to Conta.
Please note: You must have an online business banking agreement with your bank. It must be activated on the bank account before you connect bank integration.
Almost all banks support bank integration in Conta. See the full list of integrations here.
Go to the bank page via the top menu > My business > Banking. Everything related to banking and bank transactions is gathered here in one place.
Under the Overview tab, you can see payments awaiting approval, payments that have been approved and are waiting to be paid, and completed payments. You can also see all of them at once by clicking «See all».
Bank accounts are updated several times a day, but not in real time. It may therefore take a little while before you see the updated balance and the most recent transactions in Conta.
You can also see which bank accounts you have connected to Conta, view their balances, and add more by clicking «Add new bank account» in the drop-down menu on the right.
Under Bank reconciliation, you can see the reconciliation status for all the accounts you've set up in Conta. Click into each account in the reconciliation column.
Under Transactions, you can see all incoming and outgoing transactions on your accounts. You can choose which account to display by clicking the drop-down menu with the account name.
From Conta, you can pay and manage the bills your business receives. This means you no longer need to log in to your online bank to pay bills. You do this under the Bank payments tab.
Filter between payments that are awaiting approval, approved or completed. You can also view the message log from the bank to make sure everything is running as it should.
To add a new payment, you enter incoming invoices. If you receive an EHF invoice, all you need to do is approve it, and it will be recorded in your accounts and scheduled for payment, all from within Conta.
We recommend enabling EHF receipt when you have bank integration, for an even smoother workflow.
If the invoice isn't an EHF invoice, click «Register new purchase» to register the invoice and schedule it for payment. Choose «Pay with Conta» as the payment method when you register the purchase.
Please note: Payments that don't go through
Certain factors can affect how bank payments progress, and this will be shown in the status column for each payment. For example, payments may be rejected, in which case you'll get the option to try again, or a payment may be cancelled by you as the user.
Click the three-dot button in the right-hand column of the payment in question and select «Try again», and the system will attempt to process the payment again.
In these cases, the failed payment will also appear as a cancelled payment, but it will disappear after 30 days. You can also delete these manually if you want to clean up before then.
Under the Manage bank accounts tab, you can add new bank accounts. Note that a bank account that has been used in your accounts cannot be removed.
Click «New bank account» to add a bank account.
Remember to give your account a clear name, such as «Operating account Sparebanken XXXXX», so you can tell your accounts apart if you add several. It can be helpful to include the last 5 digits of the account number to make it even easier to identify.
For sole proprietorships (ENK): We strongly recommend using a separate bank account for your business instead of your personal account. This makes your bookkeeping much simpler.
When you click into a bank account, you can also edit its details or rename it.
The «Hide this bank account» option means the bank account will no longer appear as an option when you register new purchases in your accounts.
By turning on the "Give the system access» toggle, you activate bank integration on this account and can use it to pay bills, view its balance, and more. This requires an active subscription to Bank integration.
When you make changes to bank accounts or create new accounts for your limited company or sole proprietorship in Conta, we check the details against the Account and Address Register (KAR) to verify that the account holder matches the account number.
This gives you extra peace of mind and protects you against dishonest actors and hackers. When we ask for your national identity number, it's only to carry out this verification, and we don't store the number.
